Day 1 – 2 – Delhi
Explore the Old town of Delhi on a Rickshaw and enjoy the water-filled square of Chandni Chowk. Take in the culture and beauty of Jama Masjid, the oldest mosque in Delhi before learning about the Sikh religions history at Sheeshganj Gurudwara.
Day 3 – 4 – Jaipur
A private transfer will take you across to the Rajasthan state to visit it’s capital Jaipur, the beautiful ‘Pink City’. This city is a stunning example of India, with bustling bazaars filled with folk art, textiles and jewellery and crammed with palaces, the Hawa Mahal (Palace of the Winds) and Jaipurs Royal City Palaces are a must see. Between the months of September and June, you can take a hot air balloon ride and see this incredible city from above.
Day 5 – Karauli
Head across to Karauli town, which was founded in 1348, which is full of traditional temples and rural ambiance, a great opportunity to interact with the locals and learn about rural India. Be sure to try the local sweets on the market stalls, made from local produce.
Day 6 - Fatehpur Sikri – Agra
Stopping at the one-time capital of the Mughal empire, you will be taken on a guided tour and a visit to an incredible mosque with influences from both Hindu and Persian. Then onto Agra, where you will visit magnificient marble tombs saved for the greatest Mughal Emperors and finishing off the day with the long awaited for Taj Mahal.
Day 7 – Agra – Delhi
Be taken along the banks of Yamuna River on a guided tour to the Agra Fort, which has a fascinating history, from a military fort, to a palace to a prison. Then a private bus will take you back to Delhi where you will enjoy one final meal as a group.
Day 8 – Delhi
Enjoy the day to yourselves and take in the last sites of Delhi before you depart.
